One mutation on the unit
A mutation changes the look of a Brainrot and multiplies its cash per second. References agree that a Brainrot holds one mutation. Traits are extra marks and are not a second mutation. Gold plus Rainbow on the same body is not how these pages describe the system.
Compare two copies only when the character name matches. Then read both displayed rates. A written multiplier is a check, not a replacement for the number on the card.
Factors that keep showing up
| Mutation | Reported factor | How it is described |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 1.25Γ | Common natural mutation |
| Diamond | 1.5Γ | Natural, less common than Gold |
| Bloodrot | 2Γ | Bloodmoon event; later treated as legacy unless an admin or rerun applies it |
| Candy | 4Γ | Event mutation |
| Lava | 6Γ | Molten-style event |
| Galaxy | 7Γ | Listed with older limited mutations |
| Yin Yang | 7.5Γ | Listed with older limited mutations |
| Radioactive | 8.5Γ | Listed with older limited mutations |
| Cursed | 9Γ | Introduced around January 3, 2026; admin or rerun |
| Rainbow | 10Γ | Rare natural mutation |
| Divine | 10Γ | In game since about February 21, 2026; Divine event or admin |
| Cyber | 11Γ | Cyber event, described as April 18 to June 13, 2026 |
| Phantom | 12Γ | Phantom event from about June 13, 2026 |
| Crystal | 13Γ | Crystal event from about July 25, 2026 |
| Celestial | 14Γ | Celestial event from about October 2, 2026 |
An older 2025 note used 4Γ for a Celestial mutation. The October 2026 mutations page uses 14Γ for the current Celestial. Do not mix those two eras in one trade.
Eclipse was named with Update 69 on October 3, 2026. The mutation tables read for this site do not give it a factor. If your unit says Eclipse, use the rate on the card and do not borrow Celestial's 14Γ.
Crystal and Celestial pages mention a repeating event about every half hour. That is a wiki cadence, not a clock you should trust over the event banner in the server.
A clean arithmetic check
Gangster Footera at a reported $30/s base would be $37.5/s at Gold's 1.25Γ and $45/s at Diamond's 1.5Γ, before traits, rebirth multipliers, or rounding. Those products match the mutation rows published on that character's page. They are not a quote for a traded copy that already has traits.
Which factor is "best"
On the same character and the same traits, a higher verified factor pays more. Availability still wins: a Diamond you can hold beats a Celestial you cannot get. Divide the extra price by the extra cash per second before you trade up. The mutation board sorts these factors only. It is not an official rank and it leaves Eclipse off until a factor is published.
